You and your whole family are invited!

So much of this last year has been tough; especially our children (and us!) not being able to spend time with friends! Holy Family Youth, the youth ministry of Holy Family Parish Hartlepool invite you and your family to and afternoon of food, fun and creativity.

Our group of Year 11 young leaders had some time on their hands (because they had no exams!!) so they've organised this activity afternoon which will include songs, crafts and if the weather's nice, a walk to see the sea! The group have been inspired by the theme of 'God, the artist' so the afternoon will be a celebration of God's beauty in nature, ourselves and each other.

The details:

Wednesday 25th August 2021
St Mary's Church, The Headland, TS24 0JD
12-4pm
Bring your own packed lunch, drinks and snacks provided

Interested?

Great! It will greatly help our planning if you register your interest via this form. Also, because the event's right at the end of the hols, we will be able to send you a reminder message nearer the time.

FAQ's

Do parents have to come? Can I drop my children off?
This is an event for families. Our volunteers will not be in a position to act in loco parentis and at least one parent or guardian must accompany their children for the whole afternoon.

Is food provided?
Families should bring their own packed lunches but there will be drinks and some special treats provided by us in addition.

I have children who don't go to the school that invited us, can they still come?
Yes. Our Catholic schools have helped us promote the event, but it is open to any families.

I'm not that religious, is this for me?
Absolutely. Our theme is going to explore some treasures from the Christian faith but it's designed to be accessible for all children and adults.

What are the COVID restrictions?
The current government guidance allows gatherings such as this without social distancing restrictions.  As a courtesy to each other, we still ask adults to bring masks with them. If you or someone in your family test positive for COVID you should not attend.

Who's organising the event?
Ric Slatter is the youth minister for Holy Family Parish which covers teh whole town of Hartlepool. He regularly works in all of the Catholic schools in town and is looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces on the 25th!
